At the end of June and beginning of July 2006, I attended the International Conference on Teaching Mathematics in Higher Education in Istanbul. I did, however, find time to take lots of pics of this remarkable city!

Istiklal Caddesi. A road which has been turned into an open-air shopping mall. I have never seen so many people in one place at one time. There are always masses of people wandering up and down this street.
