DSTV Blue Train trip : Pat won a DSTV trip on the Blue Train in mid-October - a very nice birthday present for both of us.

Pics taken with a Sigma 10-20 or a Sigma 24-135. Most scenic shots were taken through double glazed laminated glass windows on the train which made the use of a polarizer impossible.

Istanbul : At the end of June and beginning of July 2006, I attended the International Conference on Teaching Mathematics in Higher Education in Istanbul. I did, however, find time to take lots of pics of this remarkable city!

All pics taken with the Sigma 18-125mm lens.

Black Forest and Mosel Valley : My sister-in-law, Sylvia, and her husband, Helmut, took us on tour of the Black Forest & Mosel Valley during our recent visit to Germany. Unfortunately, fairly heavy mist prevented us from getting too many decent pics on the drive through the Black forest. On the way home, we drove a short distance along the Rhine and paid a quick visit to Heidelberg.

All pics taken with the Sigma 18-125mm lens.
