DSTV Blue Train trip : Pat won a DSTV trip on the Blue Train in mid-October - a very nice birthday present for both of us. Pics taken with a Sigma 10-20 or a Sigma 24-135. Most scenic shots were taken through double glazed laminated glass windows on the train which made the use of a polarizer impossible.

Paulaner Brauhaus : My sister took us for lunch at the Paulaner Bräuhaus, not knowing that it was their Oktoberfest day. Having the Oompah band there, with the local German community in their traditional gear, made the occasion! I did get to meet the Brewmaster, Wolfgang Ködel, but he was busy mashing, so did not have too much time to chat. I really enjoyed their Münchner Dunkel.
